Very often we know we have to change. However, it’s not easy to know if or when it is the right time.
I want to pick apart what you should do when you are faced with a situation like this.
When it comes to our fitness, it is easy to get in to a mindset that we need to go all in, because not going all in could mean “I have failed”.
When we talk about our nutritional habits, it is even more common to have the “failure” mindset, just because we fantasize about eating piece of chocolate.
Both scenarios are not true. Both of these stories are thoughts pulling us further away from moving forward.
Next time you hear that voice in your head that tells you that you have failed, please ignore it and remember that it is not true.
Don’t give in to that voice. It is a voice that wants to pull you down.
The truth is that you are an amazing creature that lives in a modern environment, full of things that clog our consciousness. With thousands of options constantly available, pulling us in every direction, it makes the simple act of decision making unmanageable. It is amazing that you are as successful as you are. Could you be better? Yes! However, could you be doing worse? Yes. It could be much worse.
When you are about to implement change within your life, a common mistake is to think that you should change everything all at once. However, it has been proven time and time again, change can only happen by first creating a plan. If we take small steps at a time, we can create the momentum of lasting change.
As coaches, our mission is to help you create your plan.
So what should you do when you feel overwhelmed? Make a plan! Making a plan with a coach is the fastest way to get yourself moving in the right direction.
When is the right time? The right time is now.
Have a great week!
Kind regards
Rickard
